The Neighbors team has been hard at work this past year, preparing to convert our core banking system. This transition represents an important step forward in delivering a more modern and efficient banking experience. With this upgrade, you can expect faster payment capabilities, greater flexibility in managing accounts, a more unified view in online and mobile banking, and continued enhancements designed to make everyday banking easier

Important Dates

Our system conversion will take place the weekend of Friday, May 29 – Monday, June 1.
Some services will be temporarily unavailable during this time as we complete this important upgrade.

What You Need to Know

Visa Debit Card purchases will process/be approved throughout the weekend based on your checking
account balance as of 5pm on Thursday, May 28th. While deposits made electronically or
in-person on Friday will post to your account, they will NOT be considered by Visa for purchases/payments.
Approved purchases made throughout the weekend will decrease your available balance.
This also applies to purchases made with your debit card using your mobile wallet (ie: ApplePay).

ATM transactions will process/be approved throughout the weekend based on your savings,
checking, or money market account balance as of 5pm on Thursday, May 28th. While deposits made
electronically or in-person on Friday will post to your account, they will NOT be considered at the ATM
for withdrawals. Additionally, balance inquiries and transfer options will not be available at ATMs
throughout this weekend. If you regularly use cash in managing your daily finances, we encourage you
to make your ATM withdrawals prior to this weekend, or stop in one of our local branches on Friday, May 29th,
to request your cash withdrawal.

Overdraft Transfers and Courtesy Pay services will NOT be available from Friday, May 29th
through Monday, June 1st. Purchases made using your Visa debit card as well as withdrawals made
at ATMs will process / be approved based on your account balances as of 5pm on Thursday, May 28th.
Approved purchases and withdrawals made throughout the weekend will decrease your available balance.
As overdraft transfers and courtesy pay services will not be available, any debit card purchase or
cash withdrawal request greater than your available balance will not be approved.

  • WHEN IS THIS CONVERSION HAPPENING?

The system conversion will take place over the weekend of Saturday, May 30 – Monday, June 1.  Some services will be temporarily unavailable during this time.  

 

  • HOW CAN I ACCESS MY ACCOUNTS DURING THE SYSTEM CONVERSION?

You will have access to your accounts via ATMs, CO-OP Shared Branches, debit and credit cards, and personal checks. 


  • WHAT ACCESS SERVICES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DURING THE SYSTEM CONVERSION? 

Our branches as well as our remote access services, including online, mobile, and telephone banking, will be unavailable after close of business on Friday, May 29 beginning at 5:00 PM through Monday, June 1.  All services will be available as usual on Tuesday, June 2. 

 

  • WILL MY ACCOUNT NUMBER CHANGE?
No. Your account number will remain the same.

  • WILL MY ONLINE, MOBILE or TELEPHONE BANKING LOG-IN CREDENTIALS CHANGE?

No. You will continue to use the same Online, Mobile and Telephone Banking platforms, login credentials, and access points.

  • WILL I NEED TO ORDER NEW CHECKS?

No. Your current checks will continue to work as usual.

 

  • WILL I NEED TO ORDER A NEW DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD?

No. Your current debit and/or credit card will continue to work as usual.

 

  • WHERE CAN I FIND UP-TO-THE-MINUTE DETAILS BEFORE AND DETAILS DURING THE SYSTEM CONVERSION?

Answers to frequently asked questions and details on access availability can be found on this page. Additionally, email is the key communication tool we are using to provide up-to-the-minute details to members. If you currently do not have an email on file with the credit union, simply log in to your account via online or mobile banking to add your email address, or call us at 314-892-5400 to request the update.

Plan Ahead for Conversion Weekend

We understand that the limitations required during the conversion of the core banking system can mean paying extra attention to managing your finances. We appreciate your attention and apologize for any inconvenience. The following are a few tips to make the conversion weekend easier:

  • Use a credit card for purchases and payments whenever possible.
  • Withdraw cash at ATMs before 5pm on Thursday, May 28th or in-person at one of our local branches on Friday, May 29th.
