Our History
Our members are our greatest asset, allowing the Credit Union to serve their needs and the needs of their families. From the youngest of savers to budding families to retirees to centurions, Neighbors Credit Union works for the benefit of all its members.
Originally formed in 1928 to serve the savings and borrowing needs of St. Louis U.S. Postal employees, Neighbors desire to serve the greater good of the community came to fruition in 1984 when it expanded its field of membership to its neighbors – individuals living or working in the broader St. Louis metropolitan area and their family members. Today, we proudly offer financial products and services to all those live or work in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County and Jefferson County (MO), as well as Madison County, Monroe County and St. Clair County (IL), as well as the family member of our members!
Making Managing Money Easy
Providing a safe place to save and to borrow at reasonable rates remains core at Neighbors, yet the products and services needed to deliver this are ever changing. We continue to build on our successes of evolving and expanding the range of high-quality products and services we offer … from savings accounts, checking accounts, money markets, CDs, and IRAs to personal loans, vehicle loans, credit cards, home equity and mortgage loans. And similar products for businesses too!
The Neighbors team is driven to be our members’ first consideration when thinking of purchasing a new home or vehicle, taking a vacation, expanding a business, payment for education, or just managing money every day.
